It’s usually said that talent and skills run in the family. The Weston family is a really good example of that. Edward Weston, the father of Brett Weston had a photograph, that was sold at Sotheby’s for $1.6 million.
Well his son had a great teacher so Brett’s talents were noticed early in his life. He worked hard to try to be better, better than his father since he was always in his shadow. But after time went by, his work showed, that it’s quality stands side by side with his father’s work.
He is well known for his photography of building, that bring you to a place with perfect composition and a nice touch of abstract. He was learning from his father in the hot days and cold nights of dunes.
His work really pleases the eye and really let’s you enjoy looking at each other for quite some time. Each photograph of Brett Weston has lot’s of details and i think that either he really put a lot of thoughts into each photo, or he shot them instinctivly. Maybe some of both.
