The first photo gallery is from Aaron Siskind and he has some really nice abstract like photos where he plays with the fiigure / antifigure or for anti-form. He shows abstract figures through photographing nature and arhitecture.
My favorite photograh is the number 50 where he shot 2 horses, the first one was cut off at the top, but the second one which is standing further back. For me this is where i go “wow”! If i were at that time at that location, i would’ve shot the first horse and lose all the importance on the second one and the background. And i think 99% of us would do the same.
That second horse fits perfectly into the whole frame. Again a really good example of how to shoot on location and composition the image like noone would. That makes the photos stand out from others and i bet a editor would choose this one over hundreds of other similar ones.
