As you may know, Diesel is one of the most popular Italian fashion design companies. Their Diesel jeans and shoes make most of their income. They are also well known for their controversial advertising campaigns.
But now they’ve took another step which i really like. They used the new medium that we have only known from movies, but since technology is making ideas reality it is available to use holographic 3d images, to display content. Let it be movies or pictures, motion or still it can be used today. Although the technology isn’t new, since i remember Gorillaz used it in the MTV Awards live show, it’s new that it is used on a fashion show.
Now the genius of that Diesel has shown is to use this new technology for one of it’s fashion shows. And the result is pretty amazing. Here’s the holographic fashion show clip:
What i learned here is that the use of new media can be used for different purposes. And since i’m gonna be a “media communicologist” i’m glad that there will be a lot of firms with different niches looking for these kind of people. So having a job won’t be so hard. At least this is what i hope
