One of my favorite videos i’ve seen in a while. This is a really good example of artists breaking the classical approaches and trying something new. There are a lot of rules with all the different artists and designers need to use in their work, like the rule of thirds in photography, the golden cut when choosing a format, choosing right color and other art theory stuff.
But these narrow the ideas and the ability of artists that are developing their skills. They are good though if you start learning but after you know the basics, try to break the rules. Breaking them makes you innovative and you really start to think outside the box. Do that for couple of years to develop your own style, some more years and you’ll be recognized by it and doing work for the big companies… well… it should go something along that way… i think…
