Today we all like being trendy, we are trendy people. Women love to wear latest fashion trends, men like motor and car trends and both like home trends and even mobile phone ones. We read about this in various magazines daily where we also get news about what’s in and what’s not. This is the way the whole world goes today. There are advantages and disadvantages here but i wanted to talk about Google today and how it sees it’s trends.
Google offers a lot of free services one of them is Google Trends. I use this tool quite often and it does give me some information that i can use. For instance analyzing markets or writing news posts etc. This tool works in a easy way, it tracks daily searches for keywords and displays them. Then it ads news regarding that topic, meaning it will go up or down. Here’s a example, i used “Eminem” as my keyword.
Now on this graph,the blue line represents trend and how it goes up and down. The letters mean events or news, related to the trend, in our case it’s Eminem, and how it has impact on the trend. If you check out letter D, you notice it’s way up and that’s the time when Eminem got Back with his Ex-Wife. So people heard that story, and waned to know more so they searched him on Google and made him trendy.
You can also track niches this way and a lot of other stuff too. It’s a good tool if you know how to use it.
